Endowment Fund set up in Mardan MTI for patients’ benefit
PESHAWAR: The Mardan Medical Teaching Institution has set up an Endowment Fund and started approaching philanthropists to collect donations.
Known as the Mardan MTI Endowment Fund, the money collected through donation campaigns would be used for welfare activities at the institution and improvement of services at the Mardan Medical Complex and its attached institutions. The Mardan MTI includes the Bacha Khan Medical College, the Mardan Medical Complex, the Benazir Bhutto Children’s Hospital and the Mardan Nursing College.
An event was organized at the Mardan MTI on February 16 to familiarize philanthropists and other guests as well as the doctors and auxiliary staff about the Endowment Fund. A number of philanthropists invited to the event couldn’t make it due to their other commitments. Dr Fazal Hadi, the chairman of the Board of Governors (BoG) of Mardan MTI and one of the BoG members Tahir Ali Khan spoke on the occasion to explain the initiative for setting up the Endowment Fund. They hoped the philanthropists from Mardan and elsewhere would come forward and donate generously toward the fund for serving the poor and needy patients and earning the blessings of Allah.
