Bilal, Noor bag Lahore Ranking Tennis titles
LAHORE: Mian Bilal and Noor Malik of ZTBL won their respective men’s and ladies singles titles of the Pearl Continental Lahore Ranking Tennis Championship 2019 here at Bagh-e-Jinnah courts on Saturday.
GM PC Roy A. Kappenberger was the chief guest of the finals and distributed prizes among the winners, Rasheed Malik, secretary Punjab tennis was also present on the occasion.
Bilal had an easy straight sets win over Imran Bhatti. Right from the start of the match Bilal kept things in his control and dominated over his rival. Mian Bilal beat Imran Bhatti 6-2, 6-3.
Similarly in ladies singles final, Noor, daughter of former Davis cupper Rasheed Malik too overpowered Esha Jawad in straight sets. Noor like the men’s dominator, did not let Esha play freely and with her controlled game won the final. Noor Malik (ZTBL) beat Esha Jawad 6-3, 6-0.
In U-10 final, Hamza Ali Rizwan beat Ameer Mazari 8-2.
In U-12 final, Asad Zaman beat Husnain Ali Rizwan 8-5.
In U-14 final, Bilal Asim (SICAS) beat Shaeel Tahir 6-1, 6-1. In U-16 final, Faizan Fayyaz beat Bilal Asim (SICAS) 6-4, 7-5.
In U-16 doubles final, Faizan Fayyaz & Bilal Asim (SICAS) beat Zain Ch & Hassan all 6-4, 6-4.
In U-18 final, Faizan Fayyaz beat Ibrahim 6-2, 7-5.
