Qureshi urges nation to stay united against external challenges
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi Friday urged the nation to stay united against the external challenges being faced by the country.Talking to a private news channel, the minister said that efforts were being made through diplomatic channels to inform the world about Pakistan’s efforts for maintaining peace in the region.
Talking about the current prevailing situation in the country, he said input would be taken from the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif. “In my meetings with Foreign Minister of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn and Saudi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Adel Al Jubeir, I informed them about the prevailing situation,” he said.
Qureshi said Pakistan would share its peace narrative with the foreign ministers of Germany and Turkmenistan, who would be arriving here on March 12. “I will also be meeting the National Security Adviser of the United States and inform him on the steps taken by Pakistan for de-escalation of the situation,” he said.
