Imran talks like ‘cowards’, tweets Bilawal
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday responded to Prime minister Imran Khan on his criticism on him through Twitter and asked him to respond to his National Assembly speech in parliament to his face.
“Also if he wants to respond to my National Assembly speech, (he) should do so in parliament to my face. Cowards talk behind people’s backs,” Bilawal tweeted while responding to Imran Khan’s address at a rally in Tharparkar.
He tweeted, “I wish our Prime Minister could work up the courage to respond to Modi or talk against banned organizations with the same tone he frequently criticizes opposition. Also if he wants to respond to my NA speech should do so in parliament to my face. Cowards talk behind people’s backs.”
In the meanwhile parliamentary leader of the PPP in Senate Senator Sherry Rehman in reaction to Imran Khan’s speech said that Bilawal is political heir of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. “Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is son of a father who restored 1973 Constitution in its original form, empowered the Parliament, awarded provincial autonomy and gave identity to the people of Khyber Pukhtoonkhaw,” she said.
She said that Bilawal has always condemned terrorism and extremism and never took a U-turn. “The habit of taking a U-turn is associated with Imran Khan and his associates,” Senator Sherry Rehman said.
PPP Secretary General Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, reacting to the speech of selected PM in Chachro Sindh, has said that the tone of “Niazi and Company” is conveying that the address of Bilawal in the National Assembly is troubling them.
He said that Bilawal has attached Bhutto's name with his name because "Bhutto" symbolises resistance against the powers who conspire against democracy. Why does Imran Khan shy away from adopting his father's name? he questioned.
Bukhari said that Imran Khan has no clue about struggle and he has risen to this level in politics by conspiracies and flattery. “On the other hand, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari got his political training by his great mother while Imran Khan was nurtured by General Hameed Gul and General Pasha,” he said. Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari said it is unfortunate that an irresponsible person like Imran Khan is occupying the coveted position of Prime Minister.
