Lahore Ranking Tennis gets under way
LAHORE: The Pearl Continental Lahore Ranking Tennis 2019 began here at Bagh-i-Jinnah courts on Monday. On the opening day nine men’s singles matches were played and the results of these matches are: Men’s singles 1st round: Faizan Fayyaz beat Ibrahim 6-0, 6-2; Salman Ayaz beat Hassan Kamran 3-6, 6-3, 10-4; Sameer Ahmed beat Hassan Said 6-3, 3-6, 11-9; Ahtesham Sattar beat HuZaifa 6-3, 6-3; Abbas Watoo beat Zain Ch 6-7, 7-6,10-8; Imran Bhatti beat Momin 6-0, 6-0; Rana Humayun beat Jawad Zahid 6-2, 1-6, 10-8; Haroon beat Abdullah Anjum 6-0,6-0; Suhaib beat Waseem 6-4, 6-2. On Tuesday 1st round of U-18, U-14, U-12 events will roll into action. Roy A Kappenberger, GM Pearl Continental Lahore, will be the chief guest on the occasion. The finals of all categories will be played on March 9 at 2 pm at Punjab Tennis Academy.
