BAHAWALPUR: The Higher Education Commission has issued a provisional NOC to Government Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur recognizing the varsity by adding it in the list of HEC recognized institutions.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qaisar Mushtaq termed it a milestone in the history of the varsity. In a statement he said this development is outcome of the previous three months untiring efforts which enabled the university to get acknowledgement from the HEC.
He said the university will focus its attention on HEC conditions.
Educational and social circles of Bahawalpur praised the efforts of the VC for obtaining the NOC in a very short period of time.
MINOR DIES IN BUS, TRUCK COLLISION: A three-year-old girl died and three others suffered injuries in a collision between a truck and a bus on Tuesday.
Baby girl Nadia was killed and three other passengers sustained injuries when a truck hit a bus head-on near Kabotari Adda on Bahawalnagar-Minchanabad Road.
The injured were rushed to DHQ Bahawalnagar where a female patient was stated to be in a critical condition as her one arm was chopped off in the accident.
