DCO Office staffers take out rally against lawyers

OKARA: Employees of the DCO Office and TMA along with Apca staged a sit-in and took out a rally against lawyers for allegedly beating a DCO Office watchman.
Rai Zulfiqar advocate came to the DCO Office and asked watchman Zafar Iqbal to let him enter the premises with his motorcycle. The watchman told the lawyer that DCO Qaisar Saleem had banned the entry of vehicles in his office due to security reasons. It infuriated the lawyer and he called his colleague from the adjoining judicial complex and they allegedly beat him.
After the incident, the DCO Office employees locked their offices in protest and staged a sit-in. Hearing about the incident, TMA employees and Apca activists also reached there and joined the sit-in. Later, they took out a rally and marched through different roads. On information, DPO Muhammad Faisal Rana reached the spot and assured the protesters of justice. DCO Qaisar Saleem was on official visit to Lahore.
On the other hand, the lawyers said that they had recovered a loaded pistol from the watchman and handed it over to the District Bar Association Chaudhry. Later, the DBA chief gave the pistol to Sadr SHO Mehr Ismail with application for registration of a case against the watchman.

Waseem Aslam and his brother Alam Sher had a land dispute. On Monday, they quarrelled with each other. In a fit of frustration, Alam Sher allegedly hammered his brother to death. Sadr police have registered a case.
