Pakistan go down against Jordan in junior tennis

KARACHI: Pakistan lost their match against Jordan 1-2 in Asia-Oceania Pre-Qualifying ITF World Junior Tennis Competition in Colombo on Tuesday. In the first singles, Mohammad Abdullah Mousa of Jordan beat Huzaifa Khan 6-2, 6-4. But Zaid Al-Mashni of Jordan was defeated by Hamid Israr 3-6, 4-6 in the second singles. The Jordanian pair of Zaid Al-Mashni and Abdullah won against the Pakistani duo of Hassan Ali and Hamid Israr 6-2, 6-4 in the doubles match. Pakistan will face Singapore in an important group match on Wednesday (today). Jordan top the group C, having also defeated Singapore. The boys’ event, featuring 15 teams, is being played from February 24 to March 2.
