MIRANSHAH: Three soldiers were injured in a remote-controlled bomb attack in Mir Ali sub-division in North Waziristan district on Saturday, officials said.

They said that a bomb planted by the militants near the wall of Golden Arrow School was exploded with a remote-control device when the patrolling vehicle of the security forces was passing through the area.

As a result of the explosion, three soldiers identified as Sepoy Rafiq, Sepoy Imran and Sepoy Attaur Rahman sustained serious injuries.

The officials said the injured soldiers were taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Mir Ali for treatment.

Soon after the incident, the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. However, there was no report if any arrests were made.
