Huzaifa powers into junior tennis last-4 stage
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s main hope Huzaifa Abdul Rehman checked into the semi-finals of the Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championships here at the PTF Tennis Complex on Thursday.
Besides Huzaifa, Berk Ulas ENC of Turkey, Kuwait’s Bader Alabdullah and Essa Qabazard also advanced into the semi-finals.
Upcoming top seed Huzaifa continued his supremacy and eliminated Taentawan Taddeo Majoli Maggioli of Thailand in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
Huzaifa started his match with combination of powerful forehand down the line and cross court winners. He did not allow his opponent to settle down in the match. Huzaifa showed consistency and pace of control throughout the match.
Pakistan’s Shoaib Khan could not survive as he was beaten by Turkish opponent in three-set match.
Berk Ulas beat Shoaib 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 to earn a place in the semis.
