DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won 18 seats of the district council followed by independent candidates with 13 seats. JUI-F won eight seats, PPP three seats ANP two and Jamaat one seat for the district council.
Our correspondent in Karak adds: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won six district council seats and JUI-F secured four district council seats in the district. ANP won only one seat of district council. The Chountra Ittehad, a local right organisation, won 2 seats, while nine independents also won.
Our correspondent in Nowshera adds: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is leading the local government elections in the district as the party won 17 district council seats.
ANP stood second in the election by clinching nine district council seats while Jamaat-came third by securing five district council seats. Similarly, the JUI-F won four district council seats while four independents were also elected. Liaqat Khattak, the brother of CM Pervez Khattak, was also elected as district councilor and his nephew Ahad won the tehsil council seat.
