Bridegroom ends life hours after marriage

KASUR: A bridegroom committed suicide hours after his marriage at Rakh Jahok village in Chunian police limits on Friday evening.
The wedding procession of Usman Haider reached home from Mandi Faizabad after taking the bride. After some hours, Haider ended his life by shooting himself. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
Another prisoner dies in Kasur

KASUR: Another under trial prisoner died under mysterious circumstances at the District Jail here on Saturday.
Imran Arshad, 17, of Chunian, an accused in a sodomy case, suffering from high fever was shifted to the DHQ Hospital from the jail. However, he died within minutes after he was taken to the hospital. On a court order, his body samples were sent to the forensic laboratory in Lahore after an autopsy. Later, the jail authorities handed over the body of Imran to his family. This is the second death of a prisoner in a week. Earlier, on May 24, B-Division police registered a case against the jail chief warden and four other officials for allegedly beating to death an under trial prisoner, Haider Ali.
