KARACHI: Both the Pakistan outfits stormed into the knockout phase of the 3rd Asian Snooker Team Event 2015 being staged in Kish Island, Iran.
According to the information made available by the Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA) here on Saturday, Pakistan A, comprising of Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Sajjad, have entered the semi-finals while Pakistan B, featuring Hamza Akbar and Shahram Changezi, have advanced to the quarter-finals.
Pakistan A earned direct qualification in the semi-finals by defeating Hong Kong 3-1 with the frame scores of 8-90, 78-39, 68-42, 96-0 in their last league encounter. They had earlier outwitted Iraq and Iran B to remain undefeated in their group.
Pakistan B, who were downed 1-3 by Afghanistan, after having blasted Iran C and India A in their first couple of games, were scheduled to face India B in the quarter-finals later on Saturday.
