‘Nawaz not satisfied despite getting best medical facilities’
NANKANA SAHIB: Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid has said that former premier Nawaz Sharif wants to go abroad for his medical treatment.
She said this while paying a surprise visit to the DHQ Hospital here on Sunday. She said that the government was providing the best medical facilities to Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, but he was not satisfied. The minister checked emergency and different wards of the hospital and expressed satisfaction over it.
She said that the department was going to order for ventilators tomorrow and this facility would be provided to every district. She said that trained staff would be provided to operate these ventilators at the DHQ Hospital.
She told that the Health Card facility would be started at Nankana, Attock, Jhang and Rawalpindi in April. She said that doctors were available at hospitals even on Sunday. She told that she also visited the DHQ Hospital Sheikhupura and inspected various sections there.
She said that the Health Department would work on the proposal to get a land from the ETPB to built emergency ward in front of the hospital if local MNA Ijaz Shah writes about it.
She said that if the land given, a state-of-the-art emergency ward would be constructed at the DHQ
Hospital Nankana. She informed that at least 30,000 staff, including nurses, would be recruited soon in Punjab.
She directed the Nankana Health CEO to fill vacant posts of doctors immediately.
Acting MS Dr Azhar Naeem, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf leaders Muhammad Arshad Sahi Ali Sindhu and others were also present on the occasion.
