KP victorious in U-19 Hockey

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) A edged out Punjab C 1-0 in an exciting match as the National Inter Provincial Under-19 Hockey Championship that got under way at the Shahnaz Sheikh Hockey Ground Rawalpindi Sunday.
Roman scored all important goal in the second quarter to give KPK team much needed edge. Punjab efforts to pull the equaliser went in vain.
In another match, Punjab D and KPK B played 2-2 draw. Punjab B went on goal scoring spree against Gilgit Baltistan (GB) beating the team 16-0. Sindh A got better of Fata 5-0 in the fourth match played at same venue. Punjab provincial Minister for Law Raja Basharat declared the tournament open.
