KARACHI: Both Pakistani outfits recorded impressive victories in the 3rd Asian Snooker Team Event 2015 in Kish Island, Iran.
According to the information made available by the Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA) here on Thursday, Pakistan A, comprising Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Sajjad, overwhelmed Iraq 3-0.
Pakistan B, featuring Hamza Akbar and Shahram Changezi, overpowered Iran C 3-1 before hammering India A 3-0.
Pakistan A crushed Iraq 3-0 with the scores of 106-5, 81-30, 66-37. Pakistan B outwitted Iran C 3-1 with the scores of 36-61, 69-0, 121-0, 64-42 with Hamza smashing a break of 121 in the doubles encounter.
Pakistan B sustained the momentum by whacking India A 3-0 with the scores of 94-32, 64-40, 53-40.
Sohail Vahedi of Iran won the 4th 6-Red Snooker Championship 2015 by overcoming compatriot Ehsan Hyderinezhad 7-4 in the final.
In the semi-finals, Sohail had outplayed Fung Kwok Wai of Hong Kong 6-1 and Ehsan had edged out Amir Sarkosh 6-4 in the all-Iran fixture.
