PESHAWAR: Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) chief Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the problem of Waziristan needs to be solved through political ways.
Talking to newsmen at the Al-Markaz-i-Islami along with former MNA Haroonur Rasheed after a meeting with the elders from Fata, Sirajul Haq said that military action was no solution to the issue of Waziristan but it could be settled politically.
The JI chief said that hundreds of thousands of tribesmen have been made homeless for years. He added that the government needs to make arrangements for their early return to their homes.
Sirajul Haq said that huge funds were taken in the name of the tribal people but they were always kept deprived. He asked the government to launch developmental projects throughout the Fata and
bring them on a par with the rest of the country to end the sense of deprivation among the people.
