OKARA: On the direction of Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yasin will arrive here to probe into the matter between TMA Administrator Sheikh Fareed Ahmad and PPP district president Ashraf Khan Sohna on May 26 (today).
It was disclosed by Ashraf Khan Sohna while talking to reporters here on Monday. He said that former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Zardari had directed the opposition leader Khurshid Shah to pursue the matter seriously. After that, the Punjab CM took serious notice of the issue and asked Food Minister Bilal Yasin to probe into the whole matter, Sohna added.
CRUSHED TO DEATH: A student was crushed to death in an accident at Depalpur Chowk on Monday.
Ghulam Murtaza, a student of a private college and a resident of 40/D village, was trying to board a wagon when he slipped and fell on the road. In the meantime, he was crushed under the wheels of the wagon. B-Division police have registered a case.
2 DACOITS HELD, STOLEN CARS RECOVERED: Police have arrested two members of a dacoit gang and recovered 30 stolen cars from them.
DPO Faisal Rana made a special police team to arrest car snatchers. The police team raided and arrested Shani gang members including its ring leader Shan Muhammad and Sarfraz. The police also recovered 30 stolen cars from them. The Sahiwal RPO will hand over the cars to their owners at A-Division police station on May 26 (today).
