FAISALABAD: On the order of the Punjab IGP, Regional Police Officer Ehsan Tufail on Saturday conducted a surprise visit to the Chiniot DPO office to inspect working of the Homicide Investigation Unit.
This unit is being imparted training to trace the blind murders, robberies and other heinous crimes. The RPO lauded the hard work of the police officers, who were a part of this course, for taking keen interest to learn lectures of this course. In this course, 11 police officers each from Toba Tek Singh and Jhang and nine police officers from Chiniot were participating. They were informed about the DNA tests in murder, dacoity, terrorism and other important cases.
MEETING: A two-day general meeting of the Pakistan Railways Workers Union (open line) concluded at the Bakhtiar Labour Hall here on Saturday.
The house elected 10 unopposed new general council members of the union including Ashiq Hussain Chaudhry, Muhammad Nasim Rao, Manzoor Ahmad Razi, Ch Muhammad Anwar Gujjar, Zafdar Ejaz Virk, Ghulam Nabi Barohi, Syed Muhammad Ashfaq Bacha, Qazi Naimat and Rana Qamar.
