BAHAWALPUR: The Sadiq Public School Bahawalpur inter-house declamation contest (English) Prep-2015 was held at Anwar Sikandar Hall.
Hammad Rana and Shahzad shared the first position, while Amina Hassan stood second and Dua got the third position. Fatima obtained a consolation prize in the individual category.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof Nauman Ahmad Qureshi urged the students to prove themselves the true Sadiqians by following the basic principles of the school. Syed Shams Abbas presided over the contest and Rafia Faisal acted as the secretary. Prof Anjum, Prof Fatima Athar and Prof Gull Jan Bukhari were the judges.
INTERVIEWS: A two-day meeting of the Islamia University Bahawalpur selection board was held here.
IUB Vice-Chancellor Dr Qaisar Mushtaq chaired the meeting. The board interviewed 57 candidates for the posts of assistant professors in Arabic, Commerce, Islamic Studies, Law, Quran & Tafseer and Persian. A selection board meeting was also held last month for different teaching posts in the university.
