Mother, child health week observed From Our Correspondent JHANG: The mother and child healthcare week was observed in the district. Talking to The News, IRMNCH Nutrition and National Programme District Coordinator Dr Zulfiqar Ali said during the week healthcare activities remained underway for pregnant women and infants, who were administered proper vaccinations and were educated about nutrition and hygienic related issues. He said hundreds of lady health workers, lady health visitors, community health workers, nutrition supervisors and other health staff visited houses and educated the people about importance of washing hands before and after meals and after visiting washrooms.
