MULTAN: Police have tightened security in connection with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali (AS) that is being celebrated here today (Sunday).
More than 1,800 police officers, including SPs, DSPs and inspectors, would maintain security covering 11 traditional processions in the district. Four police reserves would remain at red alert at police lines and CCTV cameras have been installed at all important and sensitive places. The security control room has been established at district police lines. Talking to reporters, Multan CPO Muhammad Salim said 11 welcome processions and 29 Majalis would be held in Multan and police force had been alerted, and special commandos would patrol the district.
