GUJRANWALA: A man and his son died in a road accident at Ferozewala canal bridge on Tuesday.
Afzal, 50, and his son Saqib, 25, of Rakh Kikranwali were going on a motorbike, when they reached near Ferozewala canal bridge a truck hit them, leaving both of them dead on the spot.
WOMEN PROTEST: Women of Kangniwala locality Tuesday staged a protest outside Sabzi Mandi police station demanding registration of gang rape case against two alleged influential men.
The protesters wanted case against accused Atif and Akmal, who gang raped 20-year-old (M). Reportedly, the protesting women also hurled rotten eggs at cops.
According to police source, the gang rape accusation is baseless as no such incident had happened.
MAN COMMITS SUICIDE: A man Tuesday committed suicide by jumping before a running train near Rahwali locality.
Reports said the deceased was suffering from a mental problem and in a fit of depression he committed suicide. It is also said that owing to service matters he ended his life.
