Two cops booked for torturing man

FAISALABAD: On the order of Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Naeem Sheikh, Dijkot police have registered a case against its two policemen for torturing a man.
Policemen Shahid Rasool and Umair Sabir had come to the shop of Ghulam Hussain of Chak 263/RB and allegedly tortured him. Later, the accused policemen took him to the police station where they again tortured him.
Six killed in Faisalabad incidents

FAISALABAD: Six people were killed in as many incidents here.
In the first incident, Rashid Talib of Chak 90/RB, Baluchni, was sleeping in his dera when unidentified people entered and shot at and injured him. He was shifted to the Allied Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
In the second incident, Muhammad Ashraf was seriously injured in a collision between two motorcycles near Gill Chowk on Samundri Bypass. He was shifted to the Samundri Civil Hospital where he died.
In the third incident, Mehboob Ghulam Rasool of Boota Chowk, Quarter Mandi, was critically injured when a motorcycle hit him. He was admitted to the Civil Hospital where he died.
In the fourth incident, Muhammad Iqbal along with his family was going to Okara to attend the funeral of his brother when a speeding trailer hit his car on Pirmahal Road. As a result, Iqbal was killed on the spot while his two family members were injured. The injured family members were shifted to a hospital.
In the fifth incident, labourer Abid Hussain of Yousafabad was gunned down by unidentified people at 4-Chak Road. Madina Town police have shifted the body to the Allied Hospital for autopsy and started investigation.
In the sixth incident, Maria Arshad of Rasoolnagar was going to the jail to meet her prisoner brother when unidentified people shot at and injured her. She was shifted to a hospital where she died. According to the eyewitnesses, the girl was murdered over an old enmity. Police are investigating.
MAN KILLED ON RESISTANCE: Three dacoits killed a man on resistance here on Sunday night.
Muhammad Ahmad of Chak 125/RB was on his way when the dacoits signalled him but he did not stop his motorcycle. It infuriated the dacoits and they shot him dead. Meanwhile, the same dacoits snatched the motorcycle from Muhammad Imran.
