BAHAWALPUR: Punjab Minister for Cooperatives Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar Monday urged lawyers to concentrate on professionalism.
Addressing the District Bar Association, the minister said he was present in the bar not as a minister but as a senior member of the bar. He said every member of the bar should try to promote image of the bar.
He urged the lawyers not to become a party in a case with the litigant.
He promised cooperation to resolve problems of lawyers, such as land for lawyers’ chambers, lawyers’ colony and quashing of cases registered against lawyers.
He said all these problems would be resolved after the passage of the new budget.
The minister also promised resolving lawyers’ issues with police and in this connection he advised the lawyers to form a body. The bar president and its secretary also spoke.
