ISLAMABAD: The JUI-F’s central leader, Jan Khan Achakzai has claimed that inclusion of southern districts of KP in Kashghar-Gwadar route is the outcome of resolute efforts of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman and he will ensure that the area should get full benefit of the project.
In a statement issued here, Jan Achakzai said that the fate of the region from Kashghar to Gwadar will be changed by Pak-China corridor, and now there should be no doubt regarding this important project involving the whole country.
He said that Fateh Jang, Mianwali, Dera Ismail Khan, and Zhob will be connected through this route. Maulana Fazl as private citizen went to China and persuaded the Chinese top leadership and senior government officials for the purpose. The Maulana also raised the issue with Chinese diplomats posted in Pakistan. He also convinced policy makers in Islamabad and the Planning Commission as to see the merit of inclusion of Southern underdeveloped districts of KP, he added.
Jan Achakzai said that as a result of Fazl’s efforts, the route linking Gwadar with Kashghar will prove to be the shortest comprising around 1,800 km.He warned that politics should not be played with such vital national subject that would prove to be fate-changer for the whole nation. He said that it would not be fair if credit is not given where it is due.
