LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq Wednesday appreciated the Saudi government decision to end air strikes against Yemen rebels and said this development had foiled the designs of anti-Islam forces to plunge the Muslim world into a prolonged war.
In a statement on Wednesday, he urged the Muslim world leadership to sit together and frame a joint line of action to resolve issues instead of providing the western and colonial powers an opportunity to advance their agenda.
He said misunderstanding and complaints between different brotherly states could be removed through talks. The JI chief appealed to the Muslim rulers to demonstrate unity to end chances of bilateral conflicts for all times to come and promote love and brotherhood.
At the same time, the Muslim states should move towards the establishment of a common market and currency and a common Muslim army as a necessary step towards the establishment of the supremacy of Islam in the world, he said.
The JI chief said Saudi Arabia’s prudent and timely decision saved the Muslim world from a devastating war. He said now it was the OIC’s responsibility to step forward for making Saudi Arabia’s peace initiative a real success and take into confidence the other countries of the region for resolving all issues through peaceful moves. He said primarily it was the responsibility of the Muslim rulers to sit together and find out the ways to end bilateral irritants and foil the plans of enemies of the Ummah.
