2 bridegrooms, 6 relatives held for jubilant firing

OKARA: Police arrested two bridegrooms and their six relatives for aerial firing in their Mehndi functions in separate incidents here.
DPO Faisal Rana received information that jubilant firing was going on in two functions. At this, the DPO along with police rushed to Fatyana village and arrested Javed, who was allegedly doing firing in the air, and bridegroom Sajid. He also arrested bridegroom Arif, his father Sultan, relatives Abdul Ghaffar, Amir, Amanat and Wazir Ali on the same charges. The police have registered separate cases.
DOG SHOW: A dog show was organised in connection with the Jashn-e-Baharan at Jinnah Park on Monday.
Excise & Taxation Parliamentary Secretary Mian Muhammad Munir, DCO Qaisar Saleem, ADC Sheikh Fareed Ahmad, Haji Muhammad Saleem, Sheikh Riaz Anwar and others witnessed the dog show. Later, certificates and prizes were distributed among dogs’ owners.
