Missing man found dead in Okara

OKARA: The body of a missing man was found from Lower Bari Doab Canal on Saturday.

Naveed, a resident of 36-37/2RA village, was missing from the last day. On Saturday, his body was found with having tortured scars on his body. The police have registered a case against Sadi Ahmad, Munawar, Ali Ahmad and two other accused for murdering Naveed as Munawar had doubted that Naveed had developed illicit relations with his sister Sumera. Further investigations are underway.

MINOR BOY HIT TO DEATH: A minor boy was killed while two others sustained injuries in an accident here on Saturday.

Adnan of Dharmewala village, his mother and brother Imran were going on a road when a vehicle hit them. As a result, Adnan died on the spot while two others were injured.

BOY DROWNS IN DRAIN: A six-year-old boy drowned in a drain at Jeway Khan on Saturday.

Irfan was playing when suddenly he slipped and fell in the drain and drowned.

‘PTI GOVT PROVIDING RELIEF TO MASSES’: The PTI government has started providing relief to the people and cut in the prices of the POL products is one of its examples.

TREE PLANTATION CAMPAIGN: The District Forest Department has started tree plantation campaign in the district.

In this connection, several camps in tehsils had been set up to provide plants to the people, said Divisional Forest Officer Niaz Muhammad while talking here on Saturday. He told that it was a target to plant 500,000 plants in the Tehsil Depalpur.

All the government departments would plant saplings in their respective jurisdictions, he added.
