SIALKOT: A man was crushed to death under the wheels of the Allam Iqbal Express near Ucha Paharang, Tehsil Pasrur, on Sunday.
Muhammad Sajid of Taqipur village was crossing railway lines on a tractor-trolley when suddenly the train arrived and hit his vehicle. As a result, he died on the spot. The train’s engine was also damaged in the accident. Later, relatives of Sajid staged a demonstration against the incident and blocked the railway track for a couple of hours. Meanwhile, Muhammad Ali and his wife Zeba were on their way by a bike when Zeba’s shawl entangled into the wheel of the bike and she fell on Circular Road near Tibba Haider Park. In the meantime, a truck of an international beverage company coming from behind crushed her under its wheels. Police have registered a case.
BODY FOUND: The body of a newborn baby was found from a field near Sherpur village on Sunday.
Qila Kalar Wala police took the body in custody and buried it. The police have registered a case.
