Fake Pir rapes woman

OKARA: A woman has allegedly been raped by a fake Pir here.
According to details, one Waryam of Shamsabad (Depalpur), his wife Naheed Bibi, mother Karim Bibi and brother Shaaban came to Baba Abbas Janiwala at Chak 34/4L to win blessings of God through him. The Pir reportedly ordered Naheed Bibi to sit in the room and asked the other family members to stay out until he called them back. The family later said that when the woman was alone in the room, the Pir allegedly raped her. The woman raised an alarm on which the accused fled.
Police have registered a case.
SECURITY AT CANTT BOARD POLLS: The district policemen on leave have been called back to perform security duty during the Cantonment Board elections.
District Police Officer Muhammad Faisal Rana said all steps were being taken to avoid any untoward incident during polls. A control room, under DPO supervision, has also been set up to monitor security situation. Teams have also been set up for the purpose. Show of firearms, firing into the air and violation of code of conduct of elections would cause immediate imprisonment.
COPS ISSUED NOTICES: 25 policemen were issued show-cause notices on bad performance when DPO Muhammad Faisal Rana paid a surprise visit to the CIA Centre Sunday. Showing his dissatisfaction on the performance of the policemen, he issued show-cause notices to 25 policemen including three inspectors and three sub-inspectors. Later, the DPO visited the Police Station Gogera to check sanitation and general cleanliness. The situation was again found dissatisfactory.
