CM assures justice to bereaved families

KASUR: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday visited Gatti Kalangar village and condoled the death of two children, who were killed in jubilant firing some days ago, with their families.
Talking to the bereaved families, the CM said that jubilation firing would not be tolerated at any cost and it was the duty of police to discourage the practice and deal the violators with an iron hand.
He suspended the Ganda Singhwala SDPO and SHO and announced Rs 500,000 compensation for the bereaved families. He assured the families of providing them justice. He said that resorting to aerial firing to rejoice the events was a negative attitude and police would have to stop it. He said that Ganda Singhwala police failed to perform their duties, which resulted in the killing of two children.
Later, the chief minister went to Fatehpur village where he condoled with MNA Malik Rasheed Ahmad over the death of his brother.
