Man killed, 6 injured in crossfire

OKARA: A man was killed while six others sustained injuries during crossfire between two rival groups at 6/4L village on Wednesday.
The groups had a rivalry over a land dispute. On the day of the incident, both groups opened fire at each other. As a result, Faisal was killed on the spot while his brothers Amin, Asif, Ashfaq and Jamil and cousins Amina Bibi and Sonia Bibi sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to a hospital. Later, Sadar police arrested accused Adnan, Bagga, Paul Masih and Muhammad Riaz after registering a case against them.
6 HELD FOR PREPARING SUBSTANDARD MILK: City Renala Khurd police on Wednesday arrested six people and recovered 100kg substandard milk from them.
On a tip-off, the police raided a substandard milk preparing factory at Kacha Hasnain and arrested six accused including Nadeem, Naeem, Waseem, Hakim Ali and Rafiq for allegedly preparing substandard milk. The police also seized 100kg adulterated milk, washing powder, oil and lubricants. The police said that the accused were involved in supplying contaminated milk to different markets of the city. The police have registered a case.
