Five parties award tickets for CB Abbottabad polls

ABBOTTABAD: Five political parties have awarded tickets to nominees for as many wards of the Cantonment Board (CB) Abbottabad for the first party-based elections scheduled to be held on April 25.
The parties include Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).The PTI has awarded tickets to the candidates for all wards. The recipients are Malik Ayaz Hussain, Syed Shah Faisal, Muhammad Ali, Awais Khan, Zulfiqar Ali and Muhammad Bashir.
The PML-N gave tickets to four PML-N candidates. They are Sajjad Akhtar, Wajahat Afsar Khan, Malik Muhammad Sarwar and Delawar Khan.The PPP tickets were given to two candidates - Shafique-ur-Rehman for Ward No.4 and Muhammad Sajjad for Ward No 5.
The only nominee by the JI is Mumtaz Khan for Ward No 5. The PAT awarded ticket to Shamarez Khan from Ward No 5. A total of 28 candidates are contesting for five wards of the Cantonment Board Abbottabad.
