FAISALABAD: Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil on Tuesday stressed upon the nation to promote truthfulness and honesty and follow teachings of the Holy Quran to get success here and hereafter.
He said this while delivering a lecture to students and teachers at the Iqbal Auditorium of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, on Tuesday. The event was chaired by UAF Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, which was arranged by the Senior Tutor Office and the Department of Public Relations and Publications. Maulana Tariq Jamil said that the Islam gives a complete way of life and solutions to all the problems. He called for flourishing the culture of love and brotherhood in the society. He said that prejudice was one of the hurdles to the way of promoting brotherhood. He added that unity and the care for others as per line with the Quran and Sunnah would help address the different issues facing by the Muslim Ummah. He said that it was imperative to iron out the differences prevailing in different sects and give respect to others. He urged the Muslims to remain unified and repent of their sins. He urged the citizens to realise their responsibilities towards the country. Students Affairs Principal Officer Dr Muhammad Younus, Senior Tutor Dr Muhammad Athar Javed, PRP Principal Officer Dr Jalal Arif, Associate Senior Tutor Dr Tahir Siddique and others were also present.
