OKARA: The Okara Chamber of Commerce & Industry president has shown concern over increased power outages in the city.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the OCCI president said that long hours unscheduled power shutdown had destroyed routine life as well as business activities. He said that business industry had totally destroyed due to electricity loadshedding. He said that the Wapda was observing power shutdown after every one hour, which was injustice. Meanwhile, PPP district president Ashraf Sohna, the JI district ameer and the PTI district president issued a joint statement and said that all the three parties would launch a joint protest against power loadshedding if the situation did not improve. They warned that they would also block the GT Road and besiege the Wapda offices in the district.
