Cooperation between bench, bar vital for justice: LHC CJ
SARGODHA: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik has said that cooperation between bench and bar is vital for speedy justice.
Addressing representatives of bar associations of the division here on Saturday, he said that it was the duty of lawyers to cooperate with the judiciary for providing justice and resolving the people’s problems. He said, “Strikes are not a solution to the problems but it give an impression of no confidence on the judiciary and other government institutions”.
Justice Ejazul Hassan, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Masood Jehangir, Sargodha District and Sessions Judge Sardar Tahir Sabir and others were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the Sargodha, Bhakkar, Mianwali and Khushab district bars association presidents - Arshad Ali Hinjra, Malik Ansar Hayat, Ashraf Khan Watta Khel and Rana Intizar – along with other lawyers accorded a warm welcome to Chief Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik on his arrival. Meanwhile, the district bar associations observed complete strike for pressing their demand of setting up a Lahore High Court bench in Sargodha. The bar associations demanded the LHC chief justice order setting up of a Lahore High Court Bench in Sargodha. –APP
Jaranwala correspondent adds: LHC Chief Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik visited Jaranwala on Saturday. He inaugurated the newly-built court rooms at the Judicial Complex. No lawyer was invited to participate in the function while Jaranwala Bar Association president Ch Munir Ahmad did not attend it.
