HAFIZABAD: A youth was killed while two others sustained injuries in an accident near Sukheke on Saturday.
Waseem Ahmad was on his way by a motorbike when a speeding car coming from opposite direction hit his motorbike. As a result, he died on the spot while two car riders also sustained injuries.
ELECTROCUTED: A youth was electrocuted at Malikwal village on Saturday.
Muhammad Riaz was busy working in his house when his hand touched a livewire accidentally. As a result, he received an electric shock and died on the spot.
CALL TO END LOADSHEDDING: A meeting of the Powerlooms Labour Association was held here on Saturday.
The meeting was chaired by Muhammad Zaman Ansari in which participants of the meeting condemned 16-hour unscheduled power loadshedding. They said that due to suspension of power supply, a large number of powerlooms factories had been closed by their owners and hundreds of labourers had become jobless. They demanded the government take notice of the issue.
