MANSEHRA: Justice Nisar Hussain Khan of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) has asked subordinate judiciary and lawyers to play their role for timely dispensation of justice to litigants in the province.
“Islam asks for early dispensation of justice and when you, the lawyers and judges, work together for justice, you in fact follow teachings of Islam that will bring a positive change in the life of people,” said Justice Nisar while speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of newly elected body of district bar council here on Saturday.
The district president of the bar, Hafiz Naseem Khan, and Akhtar Nawaz Tanoli, the secretary general, also spoke on the occasion.
Justice Nisar earlier administered oath to the newly elected office-bearers of the bar.
He said the bench and bar were important segments in any country. He said that he was proud to be a former member of the bar, which played an active role in the lawyers movement.
Justice Nisar said that lawyers should assist courts in early disposal of cases and dispensation of justice to litigants.
