GUJRANWALA: The Gujranwala Cantonment Board will hold local bodies’ elections on April 25th.
This has been learnt on Wednesday.
Some 56,171 registered voters will go to polls. The Cantonment area has 10 wards, 32 polling stations, including 11 polling stations for males, 9 for females and 12 for all.
Some 100 election booths would be established, including 53 booths for males and 47 for females.
Cantonment Board Chief Officer Hassan Akhtara Mirza would act as a returning officer with the assistance of two assistant returning officers.
Some 112 candidates submitted their nomination papers and five were rejected and 107 candidates are contesting for ten seats. The candidates would be allotted symbols on April 11th.
