ISLAMABAD: Candidate for President Punjab Football Association Ali Noor Niazi said that the present setup of football in the country had badly failed to promote football at national and international level.
In a statement, he said the entire football infrastructure was in shabby condition and no one was there to take care of it, adding Pakistan Football Association (PFA) was being run by a single man and the office of whom travel with him.
“The activity of football was taking place somewhere in papers and the productivity is evident from the present FIFA ranking of Pakistan that stands at 187.” He said that he was enjoying support of true football lovers and chalk out lucrative football activity plan for popularity and revival of football in the country.
He said that provincial congress members had welcomed the survivors of football voluntarily and they were of the view that time had come to remove the present ‘incompetent and inept’ football regime.
Niazi said that they were being challenged from within the provincial congress members at their own without any interference from outside. He said that prevailing FIFA rules does permit to change the football management through elections and the same is happening.
