SWABI: A eunuch and his musician colleague were killed Monday and three others were injured in a firing incident, said a police officer.
Speaking at a press conference, District Police Officer Sajjad Khan said that a group of eunuchs and musicians were returning home after performing at a wedding party at Sodher village when armed men signalled their vehicle to stop.
He said the gunmen snatched cash and cellphones from the eunuchs and musicians and then insisted to travel in the same vehicle to reach a certain place. He said the eunuchs and musicians refused to allow the robbers to board their vehicle.
DPO Sajjad Khan said the gunmen then opened fire on the eunuchs and musicians. He said a eunuch and drummer were killed and three others sustained injuries in the firing. The eunuch identified as Sana and drumbeater Ibrahim were killed on the spot while Mukhtiar, Rafiq and Qamar were injured.
The injured were taken to the Bacha Khan Medical Complex in Shahmansoor in Swabi.Sajjad Khan said the police had arrested the accused Manzoor Khan, Azran Khan, Bashir Khan, Arif Khan, Umer Ali and Kashif Ali. A murder case was registered at the Yar Hussain Police Station against the six accused.
