BAHAWALPUR: Yazman Sadr police on Sunday registered a murder case against PML-N MPA Khalid Mehmood Jajja’s brother, cousin and others. The police also booked the lawmaker, MD and colony officer of Cholistan Development Authority on abetment charges.
According the FIR 47/2015 registered on the report of Bashir Ahmad of Chak 341/HR, Marrot, the MPA’s brother Rashid Jajja with his accomplices Muhammad Dilshad Jajja, Nadeem Ghumman, Muhammad Abbas and others entered their fields on late Saturday night and tried to bulldoze wheat crop allegedly on the fake allotment orders of the Cholistan Development Authority’s MD and colony officer. The complainant’s brother Allah Bakhsh showed the accused a stay order issued by the Punjab Board of Revenue member, but they ignored it and allegedly opened fire. As a result, Allah Bakhsh was killed on the spot while his two brothers received injuries. Bashir alleged that MPA Khalid Mehmood Jajja was the mastermind.
On Sunday, the deceased’s relatives staged a demonstration against the murder and the police near University Chowk and demanded immediate arrest of the accused.
