BAHAWALPUR: Parho Punjab and Barho Punjab drive was launched in Bahawalpur division on Thursday in a ceremony held in Government Girls High School Satellite Town, Bahawalpur.
Punjab Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar inaugurated the campaign to enhance enrollment of kids in schools.
Addressing the ceremony, the minister said under this drive the chief minister Punjab road map for prosperity in education has started.
Commissioner Bahawalpur division Saqib Zafar said under this drive around 5 lakh and 50 thousands children would be enrolled at government schools. He said the Punjab government is striving for the promotion of quality education in the province.
The EDOs (education) from Bahawalpur division and socio-political figures of the area were also present on the occasion.
Enrollment forms of some students were also filled in, and school bags and books were given to newly enrolled students.
