Vendor stage demo against dist admin

JHANG: A large number of vendors staged a demonstration against the district administration here.
The protesters also staged a sit-in outside the DCO Office. They were chanting slogans against the district administration. They were also carrying placards and banners. They alleged that the district administration was sending the vendors behind bars for no crime instead of arresting the terrorists and land grabbers. They said that shopping malls and plazas without parking lots were the main reason for halting the flow of traffic on city roads, not the vendors. Instead of taking action against the shopkeepers, who had encroached on roads, the district administration was taking action against the vendors. When contacted, DCO Nadir Chattha and AC Imran Asmat refused to talk on the issue.
