Woman commits suicide in Chitral

CHITRAL: A widow on Sunday committed a suicide over unknown reasons in Mori Bala village in the district, police said.

They said that one Afsana Bibi, 22, strangled herself to death. It was learnt that the husband of the deceased woman, who was the manager at a local hotel, had died under mysterious circumstances a few days ago.

Family sources said that the woman was heartbroken over the death of her spouse and committed the suicide.

The police handed over the body to the relatives after autopsy for burial. The police lodged the case under section-174 and started further investigation.
