PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority raided a milk production unit in Abbottabad, a spokesperson for the authority said on Friday.
He said the authority had received complaints about the milk unit. KP Food Safety and Halal Food Authority spokesperson Attaullah Khan maintained that the unit was functioning near Tanchi Chowk in Abbottabad.
He said that it was preparing milk from detergent and other chemicals. The official said that five persons were handed over to local police station and the unit was sealed. He said that more than 300 litres of chemically prepared milk was discarded.
