FAISALABAD: A sub-inspector, who was injured in an encounter with dacoits some days ago, died in the Lahore Jinnah Hospital on Thursday night.
The body of Sub-Inspector Nasir Ahmad Wahla was brought to the Police Lines where his funeral prayers were offered. RPO Muhammad Ahsan Tufail, CPO Dr Sohail Habib Tajik, SP Madina Town Awais Malik, SP Sargodha Road Amir Saud and others attended the funeral payers. Later, the body of Nasir Ahmad was dispatched to Chak 8, Panjgar, where he was laid to rest in a graveyard.
Sub-Inspector Nasir Ahmad Wahla was injured in an encounter with dacoits in Phoolnagar police limits on March 23.
Meanwhile, CPO Dr Sohail Tajik paid tributes to the martyred sub-inspector. He announced recruiting the sub-inspector’s elder son in the Police Department.
