Siraj condemns state terrorism in IHK
ISLAMABAD: An All Parties Consultative Conference of political leadership of Azad Jammu and Kashmir which held here strongly condemned Indian state terrorism in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) which had claimed scores of lives during the last one month.
The consultative conference attended by leaders of Government and opposition parties of Azad Kashmir with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Senate Sirajul Haq in the chair also demanded of the United Nations, OIC and human rights organizations to take notice of worsening situation of human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir. “ These forums should prevail upon India to stop its terrorism, repeal its black law, release Hurriayat leaders and withdraw troops from Occupied Kashmir,” the AJK leadership said.
The Conference condemned rape and murder of eight-year old Aasifa by extremist Hindus in Jammu and expressed serious concerns over rallies in favour of rapists and murderers, organized by ministers and supporter of the PDP Government. The Conference also regretted silence of human rights organizations and civil society organisation on killing of the minor girl.
The Conference also noted with concern that a large number of Hurriyat leaders and worker are either in detention and or in jail while frequent restrictions are also imposed on electronic and social media. “The international relief and human rights organizations are also disallowed access to Occupied territory to hide crimes against humanity,” the participants of the Conference observed.
Sirajul Haq told a news conference after the meeting said the gathering of Kashmiri leadership also passed declaration which called upon all the political parties in Pakistan to place Kashmir issue on top of their manifesto for the next general elections and also condemn Indian security forces atrocities on Kashmiris.
