Pak volleyball team to play practice matches in Turkey
KARACHI: Pakistan’s senior volleyball team on Monday flew out of Islamabad for Turkey to play a few practice matches to prepare for the FIVB Challenge Cup World Qualification tournament.
The world qualifiers will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from May 16-21. Besides Pakistan, Qatar, Kazakhstan and Chinese Taipei will play the qualifiers from which one team will qualify for the world event later this year.
The Green-shirts would proceed to Almaty from Turkey on May 14, Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) said on Monday.Iranian coach Hamid Movahedi is accompanying the side.
